AEW Star Exploring Options As Contract Nears End

One AEW star is said to be open to exploring their options as their contract end date comes firmly into sight.

All Elite Wrestling could be on the verge of losing its first-ever world champion, as Chris Jericho has been rumoured for a WWE comeback at the end of his current contract. Jericho’s deal with Tony Khan’s company is believed to come to an end when 2025 does, leaving him a free agent going into 2026.

Many fans expect Jericho to make his return to WWE as part of the Royal Rumble, and a retirement storyline has been talked about in many quarters as well.

However, it might not be just Chris Jericho waving goodbye to AEW as they say hello to WWE.

Anna Jay’s AEW Contract Almost Up

Fightful Select has reported that Anna Jay’s deal with AEW will expire in the spring of 2026 – later than originally thought. Her contract status is said to have come into sharp view after she was overlooked for the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match. Jay and her tag team partner Tay Melo have not been on AEW television since then, although that’s not necessarily connected to the contract situation.

Sources are said to have indicated that Anna Jay is open to exploring her options as to where her future lies. The star is said to have connections in both WWE and NXT.
