AEW Star Still Not Re-Signed As Exit Rumours Grow

Tony Khan AEW

As the weeks roll on, the future of one AEW star is still in the air as it seems no new contract has yet been signed between them and Tony Khan’s company.

In the main event of the July 3rd episode of Dynamite, Daniel Garcia challenged Will Ospreay for the International Championship. Garcia has grown increasingly frustrated with his run of late and saw the match against the British star as a chance to remind the world just what he was about.

Although he was beaten by Ospreay, Garcia turned in another impressive performance to keep his stock high with the AEW faithful. However, following the final bell, he was brutally attacked and left bloodied by MJF. The beating was so severe that Garcia left the arena on a stretcher

It soon became clear why Garcia had been written off TV in such a brutal fashion as Daniel Garcia’s future in AEW was in question as his current contract was believed to be coming to an end in the near future.

Daniel Garcia’s AEW Future Up In The Air

Now Fightful Select has offered an update on his situation as previous reports suggested a top name in AEW had believed Garcia had signed a new deal, however, that is now believed to be not the case as of the second week in August.

If no new deal is signed between Daniel Garcia and AEW then he will be a free agent come October and free to sign anywhere he chooses to including WWE.
