AEW Star Medically Suspended After All Out Attack
One AEW star is under a medical suspension in the company after they were the victim of an All Out attack.
All Out was a huge night for AEW as Kris Statlander captured the AEW Women’s World Championship for the first time and PAC made his shock return to the company to help Jon Moxley defeat Darby Allin in a Coffin match.
That meant the Death Riders were now stronger than ever before, with Daniel Garcia recently joining the group following a shock betrayal.
Before All Out began on pay-per-view, Garcia was in action against The Opps’ Katsuyori Shibata on the Saturday Tailgate Brawl. Shibata and Garcia have traded wins and even teamed up in AEW, but this was a new Garcia who took out his vicious side on Shibata.
Katsuyori Shibata Out Of Action In AEW
Garcia defeated the Japanese star and continued an attack on him after the match. Ahead of the September 24th edition of Dynamite, Tony Khan confirmed that Shibata was “medically suspended”, leaving his immediate future up in the air.

With Shibata out of action, Hangman Adam Page will team with Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs on the 6th anniversary edition of Dynamite, where they will take on Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders.
Shibata was previously forced to retire from the ring after suffering a serious brain injury during a match with Kazuchika Okada in New Japan Pro Wrestling. NJPW allowed him to return for two matches, one with Zack Sabre Jr., held under grappling rules with a five-minute time limit. He has, however, resurrected his career in AEW and Ring of Honor. As one-third of The Opps, he is a current AEW Trios Champion.
