AEW Star Medically Cleared After 18 Months Out

One AEW star who has spent the last 18 months on the sidelines has revealed that they are finally medically cleared to return to the ring.

Sammy Guevara and fellow AEW star Tay Melo welcomed their first child together in November 2023. Tay Melo has not competed in the company since January 2023 but Sammy Guevara recently returned to the mix where he has claimed the ROH Tag Team Championship with Dustin Rhodes.

Back in July Guevara took to social media, and paid tribute to his wife while revealing that they were both training for their eventual return to the ring:

Just wanna say this mama right here is doing such a great job. We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in. Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife! She doesn’t give herself the credit so just wanna say you are doing great mama & we all can’t wait for your return @taymelo

And now it looks like that return could be closer than ever for Tay Melo.

Tay Melo Cleared For AEW Return

On Sammy Guevara’s vlog, Melo and Guevara had their child Luna with them in Wembley Stadium when the conversation turned to the Brazilian’s return to the ring. Guevara asked if that was soon with Melo noting that it would be up to Tony Khan before adding “I’m cleared though, I’m cleared, mama’s cleared. Just got cleared.”

Tay Melo last competed in March 2023 before revealing at Double Or Nothing that she was pregnant with her and Sammy Guevara’s first child.
