AEW Star Launches Defence Of Adam Copeland
AEW star Dax Harwood has leapt to the defence of Adam Copeland.
‘The Rated R Superstar’ made his long-awaited comeback at AEW Worlds End 2024 following more than six months out after suffering a broken leg during a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at AEW Double Or Nothing on 26th May.
The veteran star, who celebrated his 51st birthday on 30th October, has received criticism for taking such a risky approach to his in-ring style at this latter stage of his career.
This claim has been dismissed, however, by fellow AEW competitor Dax Harwood. Speaking during the AEW Worlds End Post Show Media Scrum, the FTR star defended Copeland, noting that his career success had earnt him the right to do as he chooses in the squared circle:
“People like to criticize what we do and they ask him, they question him. This is Adam f****** Copeland. If he wants to jump off a cage, let him jump off a cage. If he breaks his leg, he breaks his leg.”
Copeland is set to team with Harwood and partner Cash Wheeler to battle The Death Riders in a trios match at AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen on 1st January.
Adam Copeland Reveals Reason For Delayed Return
Whilst the return of Adam Copeland at Worlds End came as a surprise to fans, it could have occurred even earlier but for the intervention of Mother Nature.
The WWE Hall Of Famer has revealed that Tony Khan had supported the decision to delay his return so he could be with family after Hurricane Helene had devastated his home town of Asheville, North Carolina in September 2024.
