A former AEW Champion is fed up with losing.

Before being forced to miss 17 months of action thanks to a long-running and painful back injury, Thunder Rosa was one of the most prominent stars in the women’s division. In fact, she was the Women’s World Champion when she stepped away from the ring.

However, since returning in December 2023, Rosa has regularly fallen at the final hurdle as she attempts to win championship gold. In recent weeks, this has seen her lose in the first round of the Owen Hart Cup, before losing a World Championship eliminator on Dynamite.

On the latest edition of her YouTube vlog, Rosa admitted she’s getting frustrated as she continues to fall short on her quest for the Women’s World Championship.

It’s just like, there’s a lot of things that I want… You guys make me believe that I should be a champion. But it doesn’t matter what I do, I still can’t reach. Like I can’t get a hold of that, you know, and it just becoming very frustrating.”

The star went on to question what she might need to do to get more opportunities.

“Just losing, losing, losing, like, makes you really, like, somber and sad and question yourself. And I’ve been questioning myself a lot lately, straight up. I want to be a champion, but everybody else is telling me that I don’t have what it takes to be a champion.

Yeah, I’m just like, okay, then what the f*ck do I have to do? Show my t*ts?

Thunder Rosa Wants To Face Absent AEW Star

The comments came after Thunder Rosa challenged Britt Baker to a “Hair vs. Hair” match at All In Texas. Rosa suggested that the two women are bonded by blood thanks to their lengthy rivalry stretching back to 2021 before adding that there’s definitely “money left on the table.”

Britt Baker hasn’t appeared on AEW television since beating Penelope Ford on the November 13, 2024 edition of Dynamite. As a result of injury and illness, Baker has wrestled just five matches since September 2023.
