AEW Star Joining The Elite?

The Elite may be adding another AEW wrestler to their ranks soon.

For most of their existence, The Elite has been composed of three people: Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson. Others have teamed with or been involved with them as well, such as Adam Cole, Flip Gordon, Adam Page, and Cody Rhodes, but none of them have been official members.

But now it looks like the famous trio will indeed be adding a fourth member to their ranks.

On the January 16th, episode of AEW Dark Elevation, Don Callis, who serves as Kenny Omega’s representative and confidant, approached a wrestler being interviewed for the show. That wrestler’s name is Konosuke Takeshita.

Callis went onto praise Takeshita’s match with Bryan Danielson from the January 11th edition of AEW Dynamite. However, he also noted that Takeshita should’ve won that match but didn’t due to a “lack of focus”. Furthermore, Callis noted that he and his charge Omega know exactly what Takeshita’s dealing with and may be willing to help him.

Kenny Omega used to do stuff like that a couple of years ago, and then I started advising him and we avoid those things. You see, losses aren’t experiences Takeshita, losses are losses and eventually if you lose enough, no matter how talented you are, there’s nothing left.

Your problem is not talent; your problem is you need help. And I’m just telling you straight talk because Kenny and I think you’re great.

“You give me a call. You think about it. We’re here to help. Just think, just think.”
