AEW Star Indefinitely Suspended
One AEW star is counting the cost of her actions after the company announced that Taya Valkyrie was suspended following her actions on television.
On the 26th of April edition of AEW Dynamite, Taya Valkyrie challenged Jade Cargill for her TBS Championship. Cargill and her lawyer Mark Sterling had ensured that during the match Valkyrie was banned from using her Road to Valhalla move due to it being the same as Cargill’s Jaded finisher.
This ended up playing into the finish of the match when Valkyrie went to hit the move but hesitated which allowed Cargill to roll up her challenger and pick up her 56th win.
After the match was over a frustrated Valkyrie hoisted referee Aubrey Edwards in the air and looked like she was about to hit the Road to Valhalla before she was swarmed and stopped by other officials.
On the 5th of May edition of AEW Rampage, Jade Cargill was back in action when she picked up another win against Gia Scott. During the match, the announcers noted that Taya Valkyrie has been suspended by the company due to putting her hands on a referee and it remains unknown when the former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion will be back.
