AEW Star Hurt After First Match In 5 Months

One AEW star has no luck at all, it seems, as they’ve suffered an injury in their first match after a five-month hiatus.

All In Texas proved to be an emotional night as Adam Cole announced he had to relinquish the TNT Championship due to injury. Cole couldn’t rule out the possibility of retirement as he faced another layoff after a few years plagued by serious injury.

On that same night, Juice Robinson returned to action after suffering a broken leg, but he wasn’t alone as Austin and Colten Gunn also appeared after their own five-month layoff. However, why The Gunns were missing for so long remains something of a mystery.

Colten Gunn Suffers Injury In AEW Match

On the 19th of July edition of Collision, The Gunns were back in action in a $200,000 four-way tag team match alongside Gates of Agony, Big Bill & Bryan Keith, and CRU. Colten Gunn appeared to injure his knee during that bout, and on the 23rd of July edition of Dynamite, it was confirmed.

It was noted on commentary that Gunn had suffered an injury that kept him and Austin from being part of the AEW Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament. The winners of that tournament will challenge The Hurt Syndicate for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door.
