AEW Star Blasts Hulk Hogan After He Got Their Name Wrong
Hulk Hogan isn’t winning any friends in 2025.
On the night Monday Night Raw premiered on Netflix, Hulk Hogan was booed out of the building by fans in California.
Many believe the negative reaction stemmed from racist comments made by Hogan on video in 2007, which were subsequently leaked in 2015. In that video and another leaked from 2008, Hogan used several racist slurs and admitted he was racist.
Although Hogan was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame over the initial incident, he was later reinstated. During this process, the veteran visited backstage at Extreme Rules 2018, but several reports have suggested he took the chance to warn people about making secret recordings, rather than apologise for using racist language.
Shelton Benjamin Scoffs At Hulk Hogan “Apology”
During an interview with TMZ Sports to promote his new Real American Freestyle Wrestling promotion, Hogan discussed how some amateur wrestlers have made the successful jump to the professional ranks.
In doing so, Hogan praised “Benjamin Shelton,” known to the rest of the world as AEW star Shelton Benjamin, who was a standout collegiate wrestler before signing with WWE.
The comments quickly made their way to Benjamin, who was less than impressed, to say the least. On social media, Benjamin blasted Hogan for his lack of apology in 2018, ending his post with a GIF of Will Smith yelling at Chris Rock with the caption “Keep my name out of your f*cking mouth.”
Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your “don’t get caught” …or as you would call it “apology” speech. So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie which we never had. Please do me a favor &
The comments come on the same day that Becky Lynch branded Hulk Hogan the “scummiest person on Earth” after being compared to the WWE Hall of Famer.
