AEW Full Gear ended with a wrestler landing in the hospital.

The pay-per-view’s seventh edition witnessed Jon Moxley clash with Kyle O’Reilly after the latter made Moxley submit at Blood And Guts a couple of weeks ago on AEW Dynamite.

Their bout, a No Holds Barred match, witnessed brutal action, but again, it was O’Reilly who came out on top by making his 39-year-old opponent tap out.

However, his victory came at a price.

During the match, O’Reilly had seemingly hurt his left arm. While a doctor checked on him, Moxley entered the ring and repeatedly attacked the injured spot.

Jon Moxley Reveals Kyle O’Reilly’s Status After AEW Full Gear Match

The former AEW World Champion cut a promo backstage, updating fans about his condition, while revealing that Kyle O’Reilly had been taken to the hospital.

Oh great, camera guy! Perfect. Tell us about how to win matches around here? Tell us about who is the winner and who’s the loser, because I’m still standing! I’m doing just fine right now and Kyle O’Reilly is taking a trip to the hospital tonight, these Conglomeration guys ain’t got no durability.

(Tomohiro) Ishii’s on the shelf, Kyle O’Reilly’s going to the hospital tonight. Darby Allin, ‘Mr Big Hero’ he’s been to the hospital what, like two, three times? Like, does he have a punch card discount at this point? He goes out there tonight, he’s still an amateur, these are your guys, they ain’t real wrestlers.

These guys ain’t real pro wrestlers, none of them, they don’t know what the life’s about, they never lived the life. I was trying to teach him, trying to bring it out of them, trying to reach in and grab it out of them! I thought Kyle O’Reilly had it in him, he was a real pro wrestler at one point, but now he’s one of these guys, one of these wusses, (and) he’s going to the hospital tonight.

It ain’t over, man, the game just keeps on going. Y’all are celebrating. You’re going to celebrate your careers into an early grave. I’ve seen people celebrate this company to near extinction. We ain’t got no time to celebrate, because there’s another fight tomorrow. The battle continues tomorrow. That’s what the life is about man. Y’all celebrating the regular season. You don’t look too good, it’s a shame because the playoffs (are) about to start. [H/T: Fightful]

Meanwhile, AEW president Tony Khan provided an unfortunate update on O’Reilly’s situation, claiming that he will be out of action for some time.
