Major AEW Star Going Nowhere Despite Contract Concern
There have been some rumours surrounding the future of a top AEW star, but fans of the company can now breathe a sigh of relief.
The Death Riders continue to be a thorn in the side of almost everyone in AEW despite Jon Moxley losing the AEW World Championship at All In Texas to Hangman Adam Page.
The group is continuing in its goal to motivate the stars of AEW in their own brutal way, and that message recently got through to Daniel Garcia, who shocked everyone by turning heel with an attack on Darby Allin.
Claudio Castagnoli Staying With AEW
AEW fans shared some concern about the future of the Death Riders’ lynchpin Claudio Castagnoli after he missed a planned date for the company. Questions were asked if he was injured or sidelined with some soon realising that the missed date came around the same time as his three-year anniversary in the company, meaning his deal might well have been up if he’d only signed a three-year contract.
Fightful Select has put fans’ worries to bed in relation to Castagnoli’s future in the company, with AEW sources noting Castagnoli still has a “substantial amount of time” left on his current AEW deal. It was also noted that Tony Khan has made it clear that he wants the Swiss star to be part of his company for a long time.
The only Death Rider scheduled to be in action at All Out on September 20th is Jon Moxley. Moxley will clash with Darby Allin in a Coffin Match.
