AEW Star Fired After Arrest
Tony Khan has been forced to take action after an AEW star was arrested for battery.
During the six years of AEW’s existence, the company has been forced to take action to remove talent from its roster on several occasions. Jimmy Havoc was fired after allegations were made against him during the Speaking Out movement.
Most famously, CM Punk was fired by AEW after his altercation with Jack Perry backstage at the first All In London show. This was not Punk’s first backstage fight as he had a run-in with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega after All Out in 2022, which led to mass suspensions.
And now, Tony Khan has been forced to act again following a serious interest.
Tag Team Star Fired By AEW
Fightful Select has reported that Beefcake Boulder has been fired after the company learned he had been arrested for battery by strangulation in January. Boulder – real name Thomas Wansaw – was arrested on January 14.
During his time in AEW, Boulder was part of the Iron Savages tag team alongside Bulk Bronson. They were previously known as Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson, collectively known as Bear Country.
Boulder’s final match under Tony Khan’s banner happened on the January 11 taping for Ring of Honor. That match did not air until January 16 which is after Boulder’s arrest.
