AEW Star In Fighting Mood Despite Worlds End Loss
AEW star Kris Statlander is determined to become a great despite suffering another setback at Worlds End.
The former AEW TBS Champion pushed the reigning Champion, Mercedes Mone, to the limit at AEW Full Gear on 23rd November, but ultimately came up short after the crafty ex-WWE star scored victory with a roll-up in a bout that lasted close to 20 minutes.
New York-born Statlander was afforded another opportunity at AEW Worlds End on December 28th but left Orlando’s Addition Finance Arena empty-handed after Mone once again collected a pinfall victory in a classic rematch.
Statlander, however, remains keen to make her mark in AEW. Speaking after the bout on AEW social media, the 29 year-old star reiterated her determination to become an all-time great:
“Is it worth having an incredible match if I don’t win? Is it worth having a classic, two classics, if I lose both of them? I’ve been good for a long time now. It’s time I go be great.”
AEW Star Returns At Worlds End
‘The Rated R Superstar’ Adam Copeland made his long-awaited comeback at AEW Worlds End.
The legendary WWE Hall Of Famer had been absent from AEW television for more than six months out suffering a broken leg during a brutal Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at AEW Double Or Nothing on 26th May.
