Injured AEW Star Sends Fans Into Frenzy With One Word Message

Could an injured AEW star be preparing for a remarkable return to the ring?

With WrestleDream just around the corner, AEW will be missing some of its biggest stars when it lands in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 18.

Arguably, the biggest name on the sidelines is Will Ospreay. The British star recently underwent neck surgery after battling serious pain and nerve problems throughout the summer leading up to Forbidden Door.

Following the same event, Swerve Strickland also took time off to deal with a long-standing knee injury. But thankfully, his recovery period will be much shorter.

Meanwhile, the women’s division is also without Athena, who hasn’t wrestled since August. Although not dealing with a specific injury, the ROH Women’s World Champion was said to be banged up after a physically taxing 2025.

An Injured AEW Star Is Having Fun With Fans

Then there’s the ongoing absence of Jay White. Switchblade has been out of action since late March, and he was pulled from the Owen Hart Cup on April 2nd.

The former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion later confirmed that he was dealing with a broken hand, but six months on, he remains on the sidelines. In September, it was revealed that White had also taken time to work on a shoulder injury, which had extended his absence.

This report suggested that White wouldn’t be back in the ring until 2026.

But despite that, the star is teasing ‘something.’

In a new post on social media, White simply wrote “Ready?” Interestingly, this was his first post on the platform since March.
