AEW Star Reveals Eye-Opening John Cena Advice
John Cena might be WWE’s greatest of all time but the sixteen-time champion of the world will even dish out advice to those that work in AEW.
John Cena is facing retirement from WWE as his iconic in-ring career looks set to come to a permanent end in 2025. Cena has become one of the best-known wrestlers of all time and has followed in the footsteps of the likes of Roddy Piper, The Rock, and Batista by building a very successful Hollywood career.
But deep down John Cena is a pro wrestler and he’s happy to help those coming after him no matter where they work.
John Cena Offers Advice To AEW Star
Speaking on the K100 podcast, QT Marshall recalled a visit John Cena paid to the Nightmare Factory school owned by Marshall and Cody Rhodes in the spring of 2023 and revealed that Cena even opened his eyes with some very useful advice:
John Cena was at the school, because of Cody, he was talking to the kids. We went into the office and he was talking to Cody about some stuff. He asked me, ‘I know you work for the other company, but is there anything I can answer for you?’ ‘Yeah, I’m a VP, but of course, I want to wrestle.’
‘Just ask your boss what he wants. If you give him what he wants, there is nothing you can worry about. You’re doing what he asked you to do. If it’s something you genuinely feel strongly about, that you don’t want to do it or you have another idea, then do it, just know that you’re on the hook. If it doesn’t work, you’re on the hook.’
It really makes sense. I know when I want something from my wife, I have to give her what she wants first. Life isn’t that hard.
John Cena has confirmed how many dates he’ll be working as he winds down his in-ring career and it remains to be seen which WWE stars will get to share the ring with the sixteen-time world champion before he hangs up his jorts.
