AEW Star Expected To Leave Company
An AEW star will leave when their contract expires.
As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Leyla Hirsch is set to leave AEW when her contract expires on February 28. It’s unknown whether this was a joint decision taken by both parties or if one side wanted to end the working relationship.
Hirsch made her debut for the company in October 2020 before officially becoming All Elite the following March.
The Russian star was initially a regular presence across AEW television, but her momentum took a hit when she sustained a torn ACL in early 2022. After being out of action for over a year, Hirsch returned in July 2023 and was mostly used in Ring of Honor from that point forward.
Hirsch made her final appearance for the company in December 2024 and has yet to wrestle anywhere in 2025.
In recent weeks, AEW has also parted ways with Ricky Starks, Miro, and Malakai Black, while it’s been reported that Rey Fenix is in talks with Tony Khan as he hopes to make his own exit.
AEW Makes New Signing
Meanwhile, AEW has officially signed highly rated free agent “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
Confirmation of Bailey’s arrival finally came during the February 22 edition of Collision when a vignette aired featuring the star in action.
Bailey has been a free agent since his contract with TNA Wrestling expired at the end of 2024. Although he was always expected to become All Elite, there was also interest from WWE in securing his signature.
Speedball’s debut with the Tony Khan-led promotion was reportedly delayed due to visa issues.
