AEW star Lady Frost undergoes a character change.

On the January 10 episode of AEW Collision, Lady Frost returned to in‑ring action after about six months away, but in a completely new, villainous character, attacking her opponent for the night, Mina Shirakawa, before the bell.

As Shirakawa made her entrance, AEW security handed her a bouquet of flowers from an unknown admirer, which distracted her at ringside. Before the match could officially begin, Lady Frost sprinted down the ramp, blindsided Shirakawa, and immediately started beating her down.

Frost then kicked the flowers out of the ring and continued attacking her in the corner while yelling at her. This aggressive, disrespectful behavior marked a clear character change from Frost’s previous, more heroic persona, establishing her as a vicious heel.

AEW Star Lady Frost Addresses Heel Turn

Despite all the aggression, Frost lost the match as her opponent forced her to submit to a Figure Four Leg Lock. A fan on X recently asked Frost why she “crashed out” on Shirakawa on Collision. She replied that she’s done being the “good guy.”

10 years as a “good guy.” I’m over it. And it’s over for everyone else now.

The new heel turn appears to be part of a fresh storyline direction for Frost, positioning her as a dangerous, unpredictable rival. By attacking before the bell and destroying the flowers, AEW used the moment to instantly rebrand Frost as a menace and set up future feuds in the women’s division.
