AEW Star Could Be Forced To Change Factions
One AEW star has been forced to make a tough choice as their future in the company could be set for a huge change.
The Don Callis Family has grown to almost ridiculous levels, not seen in a faction since the heyday of the NWO’s excesses in the nineties. But the size of the group is secondary when it comes to the fact that it has brought the weaselly Don Callis plenty of success.
Kyle Fletcher is the reigning TNT Champion, Kazuchika Okada is the AEW Unified Champion, and Konosuke Takeshita is the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, although it seems the group won’t be big enough for both Takeshita and Okada for very long.
Now, Callis has set his sights on bringing in another star as a huge match has been made for Full Gear.
Mark Briscoe To Leave Conglomeration Behind In AEW?
Mark Briscoe has been embroiled in a series of closely fought matches with Kyle Fletcher over recent months, but it was Fletcher who held onto the TNT Title at WrestleDream. On the November 5th edition of Dynamite, Briscoe challenged Fletcher to another bout with his gold on the line.
Don Callis noted that he’d need something in return to agree to that match with Briscoe asking if Callis wanted him to put his career on the line. Callis noted that he liked Briscoe as a wrestler, so he didn’t want that, but if Briscoe was to lose the match, he’d have to join The Don Callis Family as well. A stipulation that Briscoe accepted. Fletcher and Briscoe will now meet for the TNT Title in a No Disqualification match.
Before facing TNT Champion @kylefletcherpro at #AEWFullGear, @SussexCoChicken made his intentions clear with a stipulation, only for @TheDonCallis to add one of his own. 👀
