An AEW star has admitted speaking with WWE before returning to the company.

Back in November, QT Marshall announced he was leaving All Elite Wrestling. The news caught many by surprise given that Marshall had held numerous positions backstage as well as working as an on-screen talent.

At the time it was believed that Marshall didn’t agree with the creative direction of the company and wanted to wrestle more often.

Despite this, QT Marshall is now back working with the promotion.

Speaking to Bill Apter for Sportskeeda, Marshall discussed his return to AEW and revealed that he did hold talks with their biggest rivals.

“Tony and I have spoken numerous times about this. I’m not going to WWE just to be a producer. I can do that at AEW, where I can work one day a week, and I’m number whatever in the company, in the top ten, where as, I go to WWE, I start at the bottom, I make less money, I’m on the road more.

The only perk is that I get to be with my friend Cody [Cody Rhodes] and just to say that I work for WWE, which has been my dream since I was eight years old, but it’s not my dream to be a producer for WWE. I did speak to them, and we don’t know what could happen. Ideally, I’m back to AEW under an employee role.”

WWE Lands Tama Tonga After Missing Out On Free Agents

In recent times the sports entertainment giant has missed out on signing Will Ospreay, Kazuchika Okada, and Mercedes Mone, but it’s been reported that the company has made one new addition.

According to a new report, Tama Tonga has agreed a deal with WWE after leaving NJPW. Furthermore, he is “very likely” to join The Bloodline alongside Roman Reigns.
