With the Continental Classic in full swing one AEW star wants to see the tournament opened up to twelve of the company’s top women.

The Continental Classic was one of the highlights in AEW in 2023 as Eddie Kingston battled his way through a field of 12 to emerge as the first-ever Continental Crown winner.

Now one year later, the tournament has made its return and current AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada has made clear his intention to win the whole thing to add to his legacy as one of the industry’s best tournament wrestlers following his four successes in NJPW’s G1 Climax.

However, Okada is already fighting an uphill battle after he suffered a defeat to Kyle Fletcher who has won his first three matches as he looks to book his place in the semi-finals at Worlds End. Juice Robinson was pulled from the Continental Classic due to injury and was replaced with the high-flying Komander.

But with the men of AEW getting in on all the fun, one of the company’s female stars wants to see a Continental Classic for the women.

Serena Deeb Calls For Women’s AEW Continental Classic

Former NWA Women’s Champion Serena Deeb took to social media to suggest 12 names that could fill out a woman’s round-robin tournament in AEW:

Would you guys like to see a Women’s Continental Classic?

A little fantasy booking here… Someone suggested this list to me, and I think it’s a pretty great list! But there’s an endless amount of talent we have in the @aew women’s division who would be a great fit for it.

Which begs the question, who would you like to see in a Women’s Continental Classic?
