AEW Star’s Brother Debuts For Company, Chris Jericho Comments

Chris Jericho makes his entrance in AEW.

The brother of an AEW star wrestled at a recent taping.

After months of waiting, Zak Knight finally got to wrestle at an AEW taping on December 20th. Knight, who is the older brother of Saraya, took on Peter Avalon in a dark match ahead of AEW Dynamite. It’s unclear whether the match will be aired on either AEW or Ring of Honor television, at the time of the match, the ring was draped in ROH branding.

Often wrestling under the name Zak Zodiac, Knight has been a staple of the British and European scenes for several years but has recently been on something of a US tour after finally securing a visa. Knight has previously had multiple tryouts with WWE, but all have been unsuccessful. The most recent of these took place in 2020.

The dark match also caught the attention of Chris Jericho, who posted on social media that the performance from Knight “kicked ass.” The British star has previously been a guest on Jericho’s podcast.

Saraya Misses Out On AEW Women’s Title Shot

Knight’s sister Saraya was also in action at the taping, bidding to become the number one contender for the AEW Women’s Championship. However, it was Riho who picked up the win, and she will battle champion Toni Storm at Worlds End.

The company’s first-ever December pay-per-view will be topped by the World Title clash between MJF and Samoa Joe, while the winner of the Continental Classic will be decided.
