AEW Star After Blood And Guts – “I Had A Thumbtack In My Wiener”
One AEW star found a thumbtack in a very sensitive area after competing in Blood and Guts.
The July 19th episode of AEW Dynamite saw Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Adam Page, and a debuting Kota Ibushi team up to take on the Blackpool Combat Club, Konosuke Takeshita, and PAC.
The battle was indeed a bloody one, featuring broken glass, chains, chairs, and huge amounts of thumbtacks. Miscommunication between himself and Claudio Castagnoli caused PAC to walk out on his team, and Don Callis removed Takeshita from the bout when it became clear that the Blackpool Combat Club wasn’t faring well. In the end, Wheeler Yuta was forced to submit as he was being choked out with a chain, scoring a win for the Golden Elite.
Despite their victory, members of the Golden Elite lamented their wounds on the latest episode of Being the Elite. Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks spoke about taking on more hardcore matches in recent months, joking that they were supposed to be comedy wrestlers instead of garbage wrestlers.
Kenny Omega: I’m getting too old for this shit. Maybe never again, I don’t know. At least give it a couple months.
Matt Jackson: We’ve been in a lot of hardcore matches lately.
KO: Yeah, what’s wrong with us? Are we into garbage wrestling now? I thought we were comedy wrestlers, not garbage wrestlers.
MJ: I think I need to go back to the tag division just so I can have wrestling matches again.
KO: I think I should go do super long and difficult singles matches.
Matt Jackson later admitted that he hates Blood and Guts before talking to his brother Nick about getting thumbtacks caught in some unfortunate places.
Matt Jackson: I’m sore, I’m grumpy, I’m jet lagged. I have thumbtacks up my ass. I am ready to get a bite to eat. How are you?
Nick Jackson: I had a thumbtack in my wiener.
MJ: Inside your actual wiener? What is the hole, the urethra? Is that what it’s called?
NJ: It hurt so bad.
MJ: I bet because of that, though, you’re probably kind of hungry.
NJ: Yeah, the thumb tack made me very hungry.
