AEW Star Admits They Quit The Company 8 Times
One AEW star has confessed that they have tried to quit the company on eight separate occasions.
Pro wrestling is far from an easy business to navigate, and things got even harder for AEW’s Eddie Kingston when he was put out of action with a serious leg injury. Kingston spent 16 months on the shelf before making his return to the ring at All Out where he picked up the win over Big Bill.
Upon his return, Kingston did not find himself alone as he formed a partnership with his fellow New Yorker, HOOK. Together, the two men are undefeated as a team, having won both of their matches so far.
Eddie Kingston Tried To Quit AEW
Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Eddie Kingston revealed just how hard his dark times have been as he confessed to trying to quit AEW eight times and claims he’s far from a model employee:
I’m not perfect. I’m flawed. I make mistakes every day. Do you understand? I must have quit this company eight times when I was out because of my own mental sh*t. I am not a good employee. I’m not. I’m a pain in the f*cking ass because I’m passionate about it.
I don’t want to hear sh*t because guess what, I can still walk through the airport and catch a domestic flight. I’m trying to get this place to a level where we can have private flights. That’s when I’ll tell you and everyone else, ‘I did good. I’m over.’ Until then, I don’t want to hear shit because it’s not happening. Until that happens, until everyone is eating like that, then I’ll tell you, ‘I’m over. I’m this. I’m that.’ Until then, no.
