Adam Copeland is inching closer to an in-ring return.

Although he emerged victorious from his Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match with Malakai Black at Double or Nothing, it was quickly revealed that Adam Copeland would need some time off.

During the match, Copeland jumped from the top of the cage, putting Black through a table. However, he landed awkwardly and broke his leg on impact. Copeland underwent surgery after the event but has been absent from AEW since. But it seems a comeback will soon be on the cards.

Adam Copeland Gearing Up For AEW Comeback

During an appearance on The Leafs Nation, Copeland said he feels good and he’s ready to get back to work.

“My brain forgets I’m 51, but my body quickly reminded me, yeah, you just jumped from 21 feet, asshole. That’s technically three stories. You’re 51, quit it. But I feel good. I’m ready to get back at it and to get busy again.”

Despite his excitement, it seems fans might have to wait a little longer to see the WWE Hall of Famer back in action. According to a new report, Adam Copeland is cleared to wrestle, but won’t return to television until January when filming for Percy Jackson and the Olympians wraps up.

Tony Khan recently said he’s hopeful Adam Copeland will be back soon, explaining that he’s been sorely missed.
