AEW Announces Stacked Continental Classic Line-Up
AEW is about to embark on another Continental Classic, and it will do so with perhaps the most stacked line-up in the tournament so far.
Kazuchika Okada won the 2024 Continental Classic, cementing his place as the greatest living tournament wrestler in the world. Okada will enter the 2025 Classic as the AEW Unified Champion after he combined the International and Continental Titles at All In Texas.
But he won’t be the only member of The Don Callis Family looking to win it all.
Okada’s hated rival and current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita will look to follow up his success in the G1 Climax by winning the Continental Classic. After getting caught in the middle of Takeshita and Okada’s issues and losing the TNT Title at Full Gear, Kyle Fletcher has also thrown his hat into the ring for the 12-man tournament.
AEW Continental Classic To Begin
The Gold League sees Kazuchika Okada and Kyle Fletcher destined to face off, and they are joined by Speedball Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, PAC, and Darby Allin.
The Blue League will see a very intriguing battle of the Death Riders as both Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli have been drawn together. They will be joined by Konosuke Takeshita, Roderick Strong, Mascara Dorada, and Orange Cassidy.
Three Continental Classic matches will take place on the November 26th edition of Dynamite. Okada will clash with Kyle Fletcher, and Darby Allin will face Kevin Knight in the Gold League. The Blue League will kick off with Jon Moxley taking on Mascara Dorada.
Both the semi-finals and the final of the Continental Classic will take place at AEW Worlds End on December 27th.
