In over six years of its existence, AEW has had many former WWE stars on its roster. Some of the promotion’s biggest stars currently used to ply their trade for the Stamford-based promotion.

Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, Mercedes Mone, Toni Storm, and many more joined the promotion after making a name for themselves in WWE. Having gone on to build their careers further in the Tony Khan-led promotion, many stars have followed in their footsteps.

According to a report from Fightful Select, former WWE star Lacey Lane has officially signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion. Lane, fka Kayden Carter in WWE, was released from the company in May 2025.

Lacey Lane has appeared for AEW in the past

Despite having just signed her contract with the All Elite promotion, Lane has already made a few appearances across AEW and sister promotion ROH. She first appeared in ROH, where she challenged Mina Shirakawa for her Interim ROH Women’s World Television Championship at the time.

She followed that appearance with her official AEW debut as she answered Mercedes Mone’s open challenge for her TBS Championship. While she was unsuccessful in both her title challenges, she impressed the higher-ups in AEW to offer her a full-time contract.

Lane was primarily a tag team wrestler in WWE and was part of a fan favourite tag team with Katana Chance. They won multiple tag team titles across NXT and the main roster. With AEW recently introducing their own Women’s Tag Team titles, fans are speculating if Chance would join her former partner in the All Elite promotion.
