AEW Signs Another Major TV Deal

Tony Khan AEW

The good news has continued for AEW in 2024 as it seems Tony Khan’s company is being kept on by its broadcast partner in the UK.

AEW signed a new multi-year deal in the fall of 2024 with Warner Brothers Discovery ensuring the promotion will remain on TBS and TNT for at least three more years. That deal will also see AEW content head to the Max streaming service for the first time and now Tony Khan has had some good news from across the pond as well.

In the UK, AEW television airs free on ITV4 and the ITVX streaming service and this arrangement is set to continue for at least another year.

AEW Staying With ITV

A press release issued by ITV confirmed the extension of its partnership with AEW:

AEW (All Elite Wrestling) and ITV have agreed to an extension of their existing UK rights deal.

ITV will continue to show weekly episodes of AEW programming, with AEW Dynamite every Friday night and AEW Collision every Wednesday night on ITV4 and ITVX.

The renewal for 2025 takes ITV into its sixth year as AEW’s free-to-air UK partner, first broadcasting AEW Dynamite in 2019.

“We are thrilled to extend AEW’s partnership with ITV to continue bringing the best wrestling action to fans all across the United Kingdom,” said AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan. “We thank all of our incredible fans in the UK as well as everyone at ITV for their loyal support of AEW since our inception.”

Richard Botchway, Commissioning Editor at ITV, said: “We are proud to continue to be the UK free-to-air broadcast partner for AEW. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship into 2025, bringing the UK audience every minute of action across ITV and ITVX.”

While this is good news for AEW, it seems not everything the company has planned is coming to fruition in the near future. One report has suggested that the rumoured Shockwave show which could replace the now cancelled Rampage is still a long way off from becoming a reality.
