AEW Signing Still Under Contract Elsewhere

A new AEW signing isn’t exclusively All Elite.

On March 29, it was confirmed that Kevin Knight had signed with AEW. The announcement came after Knight had come up short against Jay White on Collision.

Knight was coming off the back of an eye-catching run with NJPW and was immediately thrown into the spotlight. Thanks to an injury suffered by White, Knight was inserted into the Owen Hart Cup meaning he faced Will Ospreay at Dynasty.

However, despite his new All Elite status, it seems NJPW hasn’t seen the last of Knight.

Kevin Knight Signed To Both AEW And NJPW

During a new interview with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Knight revealed that he’s also under contract with NJPW for more than another 12 months.

“New Japan has nothing to worry about. I’m not going anywhere. As I got the AEW graphic, I inked a deal with New Japan as well. New Japan gotta deal with me for another year or so, and so is AEW. I’m doing both. Best of both worlds. The Jet is intergalactic, interdimensional, interpromotional,”

Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Knight will be taking part in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament which kicks off on May 9. The appearance will be Knight’s third consecutive run at the famous competition.

Before then, Knight’s set to team with KUSHIDA on April 11 at Windy City Riot to challenge the World Class Wrecking Crew for the Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship.
