AEW Reportedly Sign Former Ring Of Honor And New Japan Star
AEW have reportedly agreed a deal to add a former Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling star to their ever expanding roster.
Malakai Black was featured in a lengthy vignette in the AEW Dynamite episode Winter is Coming, cryptically revealing more about the House of Black. The trailer hinted at the coming of a new member, who many assume to be Brody King.
It has since been reported by Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net that Brody King has indeed signed with the company. A source revealed that they were told about the deal on Thanksgiving weekend, with the contract being agreed shortly after the news of Ring Of Honor’s hiatus began to circulate.
Brody King began his professional wrestling career in 2015 before joining MLW two years later. King became a mainstay of the independent scene in the years after, mostly for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Ring Of Honor.
It’s worth noting that King is currently one half of the PWG World Tag Team Championships with Malakai Black.

Meanwhile, Winter is Coming opened with the epic showdown between AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page and number one contender, Bryan Danielson. The gruelling and often scarily hard-hitting bout eventually went to a 60-minute draw, becoming the longest match in AEW history in the process.
The bout saw both men endure incredible levels of punishment with Page being cut open at around the halfway mark. This was before he was sent crashing into the timekeepers table and was given a DDT on the exposed concrete floor.
As the match barrelled towards it’s conclusion, Page finally hit Danielson with his Buckshot Lariat. However, just as the champion was crawling across the ring to make the cover, the bell rang for the end of the match.
The result means that Danielson remains undefeated, but left without the AEW World Championship.
