Famous AEW Segment Almost Derailed Thanks To Fans
A now-popular AEW star’s segment was held up due to fans trying to boo them out of the building.
At Grand Slam Australia, Harley Cameron was unable to topple Mercedes Mone. However, it marked the biggest match to date for a star who has had a meteoric rise in recent months.
Cameron has won fans over with puppet shows and concerts as well as her in-ring ability. It wasn’t always this way though, as back in 2023 she was part of QT Marshall’s TMZ-inspired QTV faction and getting booed regularly.
One of her segments saw Cameron attempt to outdo Max Caster with a rap before trying to seduce Anthony Bowens, who memorably let her know he was gay to chants of “He’s gay!” from the audience.
Now, Bowens has revealed that the segment almost got derailed as the Chicago fans booed Cameron for “3-4 minutes straight” before they could get started.
“A little insight on this segment..it went way over time and had to be edited down because they booed Harley for 3-4 minutes straight.
For some reason the audio doesn’t reflect it on the broadcast but the booing was so LOUD and constant, I legitimately couldn’t hear anything from her promo. If you go 20 seconds into this vid you will see me lean in to try to figure out what she was saying. Billy even came over and said idk wtf she’s saying right now, this is so good.”
