An email was sent out to AEW talent following Saraya using profanity as well as other gestures towards the crowd on Dynamite.

The AEW television product is TV-14 meaning they are a lot edgier than WWE, which has a PG rating. AEW fans know that talent is sometimes allowed to use swear words during promos and there’s also plenty of blood during matches.

On the March 15th edition of AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Saraya was part of a segment with The Outcasts group with Ruby Soho and Toni Storm. On her way to the ring, Saraya did middle finger gestures to the crowd twice. After the segment, Saraya tweeted that she got fined for saying “twat” as well because that’s a bad slang word.

In an update, Fightful Select reported that the fine was legit while Saraya apologized privately. The proceeds for the fine went towards AEW Together projects. In addition to that, an email was sent to AEW talent noting that the former Paige was fined for using profanity along with the middle finger salutes to the crowd without informing the coach of the segment. The coach/producer of the segment was former wrestler BJ Whitmer, who has worked for AEW for a few years.

It was also added that AEW talent has been discouraged from doing middle finger gestures towards the fans and also body-shaming the crowd.

The promo with Saraya and The Outcasts trashing the babyface women in AEW led to AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. going out to the ring to try to fight them. The numbers game saw The Outcasts get the advantage since it was 3 on 2. The trio of Riho, Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue ran out for the save, which should lead to a tag team match against The Outcasts soon.
