AEW Full Gear and Its History in the Prudential Arena
The Prudential Center has quickly become a favored venue for the Jacksonville-based promotion when it comes to hosting Full Gear. This is the second year in a row that Tony Khan has decided to host Full Gear at the Newark-based arena.
The 2024 Full Gear event took place at this arena, highlighted by a main event battle between Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy for the AEW World Championship. Moxley retained his title in a hard-fought match. The event had twelve matches, with three of them on the Zero Hour pre-show.
Before that, AEW held Full Gear at the Prudential Center in 2022. That year, the showdown for the AEW World Championship featured Jon Moxley defending his title against MJF. The match saw The Salt of the Earth emerge victorious and secure the championship in front of his home New Jersey crowd.
