AEW Reveal Full Continental Classic Line-Up

AEW has confirmed the full list of 12 stars competing in the Continental Classic including three current champions in the company.

The Continental Classic was one of the highlights in AEW in 2023 as Eddie Kingston battled his way through a field of 12 to emerge as the first-ever Continental Crown winner.

Now one year later, the tournament is making a return and current AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada has made clear his intention to win the whole thing to add to his legacy as one of the industry’s best tournament wrestlers following his four successes in NJPW’s G1 Climax.

The full field for the 2024 Continental Classic has now been revealed by AEW in a Selection Special and it promises some mouth-watering clashes.

AEW Stack Continental Classic With Stars

The Blue League is comprised of Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, the new TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, Mark Briscoe, The Beast Mortos, and Shelton Benjamin. The Gold League is made up of Will Ospreay, AEW Trios Champion Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, Juice Robinson, Ricochet, and Darby Allin.

A potential final between old friends turned rivals Ospreay and Okada could be what people want to see but Kyle Fletcher will have something to say about that after he picked up a win over Ospreay at Full Gear. The Gold League will also see Darby Allin get his hands on Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders after Allin drove his car into the group’s vehicle in a wild ending to the pay-per-view.

Once again, the Continental Classic matches will be held with 20-minute time limits with absolutely everyone banned from ringside. Winners of each match will receive three points, a draw sees each man pick up one point, and a loss receives nothing at all.
