AEW Release Unseen Backstage Footage Of Ricochet’s Debut

Ricochet

Ricochet is All Elite.

In recent weeks it had become a question of when and not if Ricochet would debut with AEW. The star had been a free agent since July 1st after letting his WWE deal expire and AEW stars such as Will Ospreay had made no secret about their desire to link back up with the high-flyer.

At All In, Ricochet made a surprise appearance in the Casino Gauntlet Match eventually won by Christian Cage. The bout was packed full of surprises with Nigel McGuinness making his return to the ring to the delight of the Wembley crowd.

It’s believed the former WWE Intercontinental Champion has signed a “multi-year” contract.

To celebrate his arrival, AEW has now shared backstage footage of Ricochet preparing to make his entrance on Instagram.

Ricochet To Make AEW Dynamite Debut

Despite only making his debut at All In, Ricochet has already gotten into an online spat with Kyle Fletcher.

After Fletcher tried to mock the star for his time in WWE as Speed Champion, the star quipped that more people had seen his matches for the derided title than ever watched Fletcher.

The pair are set to meet on the August 28th episode of Dynamite. New AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson has also been confirmed for the show. The veteran won the gold in an emotional All In main event, getting the better of Swerve Strickland.

The show went off the air with a bloody yet delighted Danielson celebrating with his family in the ring.
