AEW Rampage Spoilers For February 9th
A big night of AEW action in Phoenix saw Dynamite air live with Rampage taped for February 9th after it went off the air.
AEW Dynamite in Phoenix saw Samoa Joe find out his AEW World Championship match at Revolution as Swerve Strickland clashed with Hangman Adam Page. Strickland and Page battled to a thirty-minute draw with Page refusing his opponent’s request for five more minutes.
As a result, both men were named as number one contenders and will both challenge Samoa Joe for his title on March 3rd.
Sting captured his first championship since 2011 as The Icon teamed with Darby Allin to defeat Big Bill and Ricky Starks for the AEW Tag Team Championship. While Sting was celebrating with his family in the ring, he was taken out alongside Allin by The Young Bucks.
The Bucks have vowed to clear out the veterans in AEW and have made no secret that they want to send off Sting to his retirement in his final match at Revolution. After Dynamite ended, The Young Bucks were back in the ring for their first match since losing to Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega at Full Gear in November 2023.
