Surprising AEW Name To Produce Mercedes Mone Vs Harley Cameron
An AEW star has revealed they’ll be producing Mercedes Mone vs. Harley Cameron.
On February 15, AEW will head to Australia for the first time for Grand Slam. The event will see several of the company’s biggest stars in action, with “Timeless” Toni Storm challenging Mariah May for the Women’s World Title.
Elsewhere, the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Jay White, Kenny Omega, Buddy Matthews, and Jon Moxley will also be in action.
During a new interview with the Battleground Podcast, Dustin Rhodes looked ahead to the event and praised several of AEW’s young stars.
“Darby Allin is doing a tremendous job. Daniel Garcia. Takeshita is an unreal talent. Will Ospreay. All these guys are killing it every single week, doing amazing things in the ring that I can only wish to do. It’s crazy stuff that they do. They are gaining this popularity and it’s definitely the future.”
Dustin Rhodes To Work On Mercedes Mone Match
Rhodes then went on to praise Harley Cameron, before revealing he’ll be producing her match against Mercedes Mone at Grand Slam Australia. The match will be the biggest of Cameron’s short career as she looks to win the TBS Championship.
“I think this is going to be a big step for her [Cameron] in Australia with Mercedes. It’s going to be a heck of a match. I’m actually coaching that match, producing it, as well as wrestling that night. It should be a lot of fun. Harley is doing an outstanding job.”
During the same interview, Dustin Rhodes knows exactly how and when he wants to retire. The veteran explained that he hopes to wrestle for another three years and that he knows who he wants his final match to be against.
Rhodes admitted that while he isn’t on Sting’s level, The Icon provided the blueprint with his own retirement match at Revolution in 2024.
