AEW Owen Hart Cup Finalists Confirmed
The finalists for the 2024 edition of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament have been decided after Hangman Page defeated Jay White on the 6th July edition of AEW Collision.
The memorial tournament was first announced in September 2021 to honour the late Owen Hart’s legacy and contributions to the wrestling business whilst supporting the Owen Hart Foundation, led by Owen’s widow Dr. Martha Hart.
Ricky Starks and Adam Cole have previously claimed victory in the men’s tournament but there will be a new name on the trophy in 2024, with Page set to face Bryan Danielson for the prestigious prize on the 10th July edition of AEW Dynamite. The event will emanate from Hart’s home town of Calgary, Canada.
In the women’s competition, Willow Nightingale will look to repeat her 2023 tournament victory when she battles Mariah May.
The winner of both bouts will earn a shot at their respective World Championship at AEW All In on Saturday 25th August.
AEW Star Breaks Silence After Vicious Assault
Another top star destined for London’s Wembley Stadium is the recently returned MJF. The former AEW Champion appears to be on a collision course with British star Will Ospreay at the highly anticipated pay per view event.
‘The Salt Of The Earth’ launched a shocking attack on Daniel Garcia having stood in his corner during an unsuccessful tilt at Will Ospreay’s International Championship at AEW Dynamite Beach Break on 3rd July.
