AEW Star Out With “Concussion Symptoms,” No Timetable For Return
There remains no word on when an AEW star will return to action.
While WWE has been hit by something of an injury crisis in the weeks following WrestleMania, AEW has enjoyed much better luck in recent times. Although Kenny Omega won’t be back in the ring for some time due to his diverticulitis diagnosis he’s featured on television two weeks running, and the vast majority of the company’s top stars are firing on all cylinders.
But that doesn’t mean changes haven’t been made.
Wheeler Yuta hasn’t wrestled since losing out to Eddie Kingston on January 10th, and little has been revealed about his condition. However, according to a new update from Fightful Select, Yuta is absent with “concussion symptoms.” In March there were hopes he wouldn’t be out for long, but that hasn’t been the case.
Fightful notes they’ve been unable to learn of a timetable for his return.
Powerhouse Hobbs To Miss Several Months Of AEW Action
Meanwhile, it’s been reported the Powerhouse Hobbs is set for a lengthy period on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery. Hobbs sustained the injury in the closing stages of a match against Jon Moxley on April 24th.
