AEW Double or Nothing PPV Buys

The estimated number of pay-per-view buys for AEW Double or Nothing from Sunday night is 135,000 to 150,000 buys according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. That number is higher than last year’s Double or Nothing event that did about 120,000 buys.
This year’s Double or Nothing was the second-highest drawing AEW PPV ever, trailing only Revolution from this past February, which doesn’t have a final number out, but it’s apparently higher than what Double or Nothing did. The estimate is in the 150,000 buys range although there is no official number that has been reported.
Double or Nothing also drew 5,200 fans at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, so it was 300 people shy of a sellout, which essentially means a sellout. There were 4,700 paid fans leading to a $300,000 gate. We are sure that AEW was very happy having fans back at their shows.
If you’re wondering, AEW gets 45 percent of the total gross from B/R Live and television cable in the US while for FITE TV and other international distributors, AEW gets a cut of 40 percent. (Thanks WrestlingNews.co)
TJR Thoughts: Good job by AEW. Clearly, they are doing well when you can get that many PPVs on a consistent basis.
