AEW Signs Multi-Year Deal To Secure More International Events
AEW’s international expansion will continue.
According to a new report from Wrestle Radio Australia, Tony Khan reached an agreement with TEG Sports to bring AEW events to Australia. Khan reportedly signed the five-year deal in 2024, but no further details were given.
As noted by f4wonline, the sports branch of TEG is “responsible for helping major global brands break new markets in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom and the United States.”
AEW made its Australian debut in February 2025 with Grand Slam. In the main event, “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Mariah May to reclaim the AEW Women’s World Championship. The star was greeted as a returning hero, as she grew up in Australia after moving from her native New Zealand.
The five-match card also featured Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Mercedes Mone, Kazuchika Okada, and more in action.
AEW Has Already Announced Australian Return
Back in April, it was announced that AEW would return to Australia on February 14, 2026, for Grand Slam Sydney. However, on this occasion, the event will be followed by an untelevised House Rules live show 24 hours later.
At the time, Kyle Fletcher expressed his excitement at potentially performing at the event, as Grand Slam would be held in the same venue where he watched his first wrestling event. Fletcher has enjoyed a remarkable rise through 2025, and he’s set to challenge “Hangman” Adam Page for the World Championship at All Out.
Meanwhile, WWE will also be returning to Australia in the coming months for Crown Jewel. The company’s short tour in October will feature the Premium Live Event as well as one Raw and one SmackDown taping.
