AEW’s MJF Wishes Happy Father’s Day To Iconic Actor
MJF wished a Happy Father’s Day to a legendary actor who plays his dad in an upcoming movie.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman likes to hurt people as a member of AEW’s Hurt Syndicate group with MVP and the AEW Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin.
As a former AEW World Champion and Tag Team Champion, MJF has accomplished a lot in six years with the company, but he’s also succeeding outside of the ring.
MJF plays one of Adam Sandler’s sons in the upcoming Happy Gilmore 2 film, which is set for a July 25th release date on Netflix and is expected to have a massive audience. The first Happy Gilmore film, starring Sandler, was a cult comedy classic from 1996, so the sequel, three decades later, will surely garner a lot of attention.
In addition to MJF, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch appear in the film. Grammy award-winning hip hop star and occasional WWE wrestler Bad Bunny also plays Gilmore’s caddy.
Since it is Father’s Day, MJF took to social media to wish a Happy Father’s Day to his fictional dad, Happy Gilmore, played by Adam Sandler.

How Did MJF Land Role In Happy Gilmore 2?
When it became known that MJF would be in Happy Gilmore 2, which was filmed last year, the former AEW World Champion explained how he landed the role.
“Adam Sandler himself saw my audition and he was apparently laughing like a hyena. Then he said, I want this guy to not audition for the other role I auditioned for originally. I’d like him to audition to be this role. I auditioned for that role and I got the role and it’s a big role in the movie. I’m very excited for the movie when it comes out.”
MJF will be in action on AEW Dynamite’s Grand Slam Mexico show, where he faces Mistico in a match. It was set up on Dynamite this past week.
