AEW’s MJF To Have Major Role In “Happy Gilmore 2” With Adam Sandler
MJF has been cast in a big role in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2” film.
The film “Happy Gilmore” by Adam Sandler may not be recognized for winning any awards for the great storyline or acting involved, but it does live on in the minds and hearts of millions of fans who enjoyed the movie.
It was announced earlier this year that Happy Gilmore 2 was happening with Sandler once again leading the way.
Deadline reports that former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (aka MJF) will be in the movie.
Not only will MJF be in Happy Gilmore 2, but PWInsider reports that Friedman will play the role of Gordie, who will be one of Happy’s sons in the film. MJF is 30 years younger than Sandler and was born in 1996, which is the year that Happy Gilmore was released.
That PWInsider report by Mike Johnson states that the Gilmore sons are “tough crazy bastards with New England accents who have inherited their father’s love of hockey. They all live out on their own and work blue collar jobs.” The Gilmore sons will be shown at different ages in the film.
The film is shooting in New Jersey through November.
MJF Attacked By Daniel Garcia At AEW All Out
At AEW All Out on September 7th in Chicago, MJF defeated his rival Daniel Garcia with a jackknife pin. After the match was over, Max tried a cheap attack, but Garcia was ready for it. Garcia connected with a Tombstone piledriver off the middle rope and Max left on a stretcher to sell the attack.
In reality, MJF was written out of AEW storylines so he could film the Happy Gilmore 2 movie.
