AEW Match Confirmed After Injury Scare

Tony Khan at AEW media scrum

One AEW match is now official after uncertainty given the condition of one star following their incredible match at Revolution.

Will Ospreay signed his AEW contract in the ring at Full Gear but fans had to wait several months for the star to arrive as he finished his commitments with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

At Revolution, Ospreay was competing in an AEW ring for the first time as an active member of Tony Khan’s roster and he and opponent Konosuke Takeshita delivered an incredible match. Will Ospreay picked up the win over his Don Callis Family brother and will be hoping this is the first of many wins in AEW.

At Revolution, it was revealed Ospreay would be in action again on the 6th of March edition of Dynamite where he’d face another member of The Don Callis Family and his United Empire comrade Kyle Fletcher. However, at the post-show media scrum, Tony Khan indicated that the match could be up in the air given Ospreay’s condition after his match with Takeshita.

Will Ospreay’s AEW Dynamite Match Confirmed

Taking to social media, Tony Khan has now confirmed that the match will take place giving the fans in Atlanta something to look forward to:

TOMORROW, Wed 3/6 @GS_District Atlanta Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TBS, tomorrow 8pm ET/7pm CT @kylefletcherpro vs @WillOspreay

It’s official: After one of the best AEW matches ever vs @Takesoup at #AEWRevolution, Will Ospreay will fight the incredible Kyle Fletcher TOMORROW!

The only other match announced for Dynamite will see former TBS Champion Kris Statlander go one-on-one with the first AEW Women’s Champion Riho.
