AEW Making Major PPV Change

AEW President Tony Khan

AEW is changing part of its policy on pay-per-views.

It’s been confirmed that AEW pay-per-views will no longer be available for purchase and viewing via Bleacher Report. Starting with WrestleDream on October 12th, streaming PPVs will be only available on Triller, YouTube, and PPV.com.

For fans who have purchased events through Bleacher Report previously, access to those events will migrate. It’s believed they’ll move to Triller, formerly known as Fite.

The development comes as the company moves closer to announcing a new media rights deal. There have been several reports suggesting a deal is agreed, but the fine details continue to be worked on prior to an official announcement.

The new contract with Warner Brothers Discovery is said to be worth $170 million per year for three years, with a fourth option year. As part of the deal, AEW programming will air twice a week on TBS, TNT, and TruTV.

During a recent interview, Tony Khan all but confirmed the deal, commenting, “I can say with 100% certainty, AEW and TBS and TNT are here to stay for a long time.”

Worrying Update On AEW Ticket Sales

On February 15th, 2025, All Elite Wrestling will head to Australia for the first time with Grand Slam. The event is due to be held at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane which is home to the NRL’s Brisbane Broncos and the A-League’s Brisbane Roar, boasting a capacity of 52,500.

While hopes are high, it’s been reported that ticket sales for AEW’s latest international event are “not good.” The report noted that stadium shows are tough to sell out, and there isn’t a large existing fanbase in Australia like there is in the UK.
