AEW Planning Major Main Event For Landmark Dynamite

AEW is making plans for a huge main event to celebrate a landmark episode of the company’s flagship Dynamite show.

The July 10th edition of AEW Dynamite will take place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada as the company holds the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournaments.

However, one week later when Dynamite emanates from Little Rock, Arkansas, the company will celebrate the 250th edition of that show.

Speaking on Beyond The Bell, Andrew Zarian noted that he’d heard AEW is planning a pay-per-view level main event for the special 250th episode of Dynamite on July 17th:

I was told that there is a mega main event for that show. Again, I have no idea. It could be bullsh*t. It could change. I don’t know. When you quote me on this, you could say Andrew Zarian said this: ‘Could be bullsh*t. It could change. I don’t know.’

But I was told that show will have a huge main event…..I was told that they’re going to have a huge pay-per-view level main event. That’s how it was said to me. Okay, so I don’t know what that means. I don’t know who it could be. I don’t know if it’s something else. I don’t know.

Who Else Has Headlined Landmark AEW Dynamite Shows?

For context, the 100th episode of AEW Dynamite was headlined by The Elite’s Young Bucks, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson defeating Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Rey Fenix in an 8-man tag team match. The 200th edition of the show had a main event that saw Hikaru Shida defeat Toni Storm to win the AEW Women’s World Championship.

For fans keeping score of such things, WCW Nitro reached 286 episodes before the company was sold to WWE in 2001 so AEW would overtake that mark in the spring of 2025.

One week after the 250th edition of AEW Dynamite, Blood and Guts will take place as The Elite will carry their four championships into the brutal double-ring cage match.
