On the night AEW celebrated the five-year anniversary of Dynamite, there was bad news as one star was stretchered from the arena.

Before Dynamite in Pittsburgh got underway, Ring of Honor tapings were held where Sammy Guevara faced Serpentico. However, that match ended in scary fashion as PWInsider reported that Guevara had to be stretchered from the ring after apparently being knocked out.

Guevara had attempted a cutter on his opponent to try and counter a top rope attack but the move was mistimed and Serpentico landed on Guevara’s face. Referee Bryce Remsberg immediately called for the bell to end the match with Serpentico announced as the winner.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer noted that the belief was Guevara had suffered a concussion.

There was also an injury in the Lady Frost vs. Kelly Madan match being taped for ROH with Madan also believed to have been knocked out during that bout.

What Happened On AEW Dynamite?

Dynamite saw Bryan Danielson retain his AEW World Championship against Kazuchika Okada in the night’s main event. However, he was immediately swarmed by the Blackpool Combat Club before Wheeler Yuta came to his rescue.

The show also saw a former WWE star make their debut in the company as MVP revealed he has not arrived in All Elite Wrestling alone.
