WWE Hall Of Famer Doesn’t Like How AEW Is Run

AEW Tony Khan talk

A WWE Hall of Famer has criticized how Tony Khan runs AEW.

D-Von Dudley is a WWE & TNA Hall of Famer who recently competed in his final match at TNA Bound for Glory when Team 3D (aka The Dudley Boyz) lost to the Hardy Boyz in a Tables Match.

After competing at the highest level for more than 20 years, D-Von had a very successful career alongside Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray), with title reigns across the world.

In an interview with Videogamer.com, D-Von Dudley explained why it was important for him to retire as a wrestler in a place he felt comfortable in and made it clear he didn’t like how AEW, which Tony Khan owns, is run.

“I just wanted to end my career the right way and it had no bearing on where I did it, just as long as it was the right way. I would not have done it for AEW just because I don’t think AEW was ever a fit for the Dudleys. For other people probably, yes, but to me, not the Dudleys. I don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable.

D’Von Dudley Is “Not A Big Fan” Of Certain People In AEW

Without naming names, D-Von Dudley went on to say that he doesn’t particularly care for some people who are All Elite.

There’s just certain things about the organization. I love the talent. I think the talent is great. There’s no question about that, but there’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them.

And Tony Khan lets that happen. So I don’t ever think that it would’ve ever been able to take place in AEW. I’ve got nothing against AEW as a company. I’ve got nothing against Tony Khan. I just don’t like the way the organization is run. And that’s about it.

Again, I’ve got friends in AEW. I’ve met new people at autograph signings, like Will Ospreay who is a great guy and a lot of the talent in AEW have the same frustration that I see. They just wish that certain people wouldn’t be calling the shots and that Tony would take more control, but yet give it to somebody that knows what they’re doing. “

In the same interview, D-Von Dudley also claims he told AEW’s Tony Khan that he didn’t want to wrestle for the company even though Khan wanted him to.
