AEW Figure Huge Fan Of “Seven-Figure Person” Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch has admirers across the wrestling world.
While her rise to the top was far from straightforward, Becky Lynch has firmly established herself as one of the biggest female stars wrestling has ever seen. Something that’s only heightened the excitement about her long-rumoured return to action.
Lynch has been on hiatus since late May after letting her WWE contract expire, but in recent weeks there have been an increasing number of reports suggesting it won’t be long until she’s back in the mix on Raw.
Speaking on a recent episode of his Grilling Jr podcast, AEW announcer Jim Ross gave his thoughts on Lynch and her impending comeback. JR said Lynch was a “seven-figure person” and someone who had become a good friend.
“She’s a seven-figure person, no doubt, and good for her, she is a friend. I helped get her started and it wasn’t a hard decision to make, to cast your lot with her ’cause she just had a great work ethic and desired to be a star,” Ross said.
“I’m a big fan of Becky Lynch. She’s got the attitude, the look and all that, and I’m glad that she stopped long enough to have a baby. Moms like to have babies and so she did and so I’m anxious to see how she does when she comes back.”
Ross added that he was happy to see so many women flourishing in the industry after female wrestlers spent decades being held back.
“Women were treated like s— for so long and I’m glad that they got a break,” Ross noted. “Now it seems like women are just as viable as the males, at least that’s my take on it. They’re fun to watch and they’re unique and they have big personalities and a great look and all that stuff so it’s really good, it’s good stuff.”
Becky Lynch Close To WWE Return
It was recently reported that Becky Lynch has now agreed to a new contract with WWE after letting her previous deal expire on June 1st. However, despite claims to the contrary, Lynch was never scheduled to appear on Raw on January 6th and wasn’t even in Los Angeles for the show.
Meanwhile, a further report noted that Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair are listed on WWE’s internal active roster, signalling they’ll be back on TV soon.
