Dustin Rhodes is enjoying the ride in AEW.

Earlier in September, it was reported that Dustin Rhodes’ AEW contract is set to expire imminently. The fan-favourite star has been with the promotion since 2019 and is currently one-half of the reigning Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions alongside Sammy Guevara.

On the September 21st edition of Collision, the pair put the titles on the line against the Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett in a bloody Bunkhouse Brawl. The end of the bout saw Rhodes wrap a cowboy boot in barbed wire and used it to give Bennett a vicious low blow. Guevara then climbed a ladder to hit a Swanton Bomb for the win.

With speculation on his future in the company mounting, Rhodes took to social media after the show, posting a picture of the bloody aftermath of the match, The Natural expressed his love for the company, saying it was “good for his soul.”

“I love @AEW!!

For 5 yrs I have been on this “One Last Ride”, and I have loved it. This place is good for my soul!”
